Cebolla Fine Flowers

Luit and Jamie Huizenga are no strangers to fine flowers--or Dallas. The husband and wife team founded Dr. Delphinium Designs in 1989. After selling their company for stock in 1998 and venturing into the world of floral franchises, the Huizengas then moved to Colorado, where they planned to open Cebolla Fine Flowers in Gunnison. In January 2002, with daughter Natanielle, the Huizengas instead brought Cebolla home to Dallas. "After 18 years in the business," Jamie says, "we know for a fact that Dallas customers have the most style, taste, and knowledge about flowers and design."

Modeled after European flower markets, Cebolla is a feast for the eyes. Luit and Jamie fill their store with beautiful orchids, antiques, flowers form around the world, and "gifts from the heart," including the new line of Cebolla pottery, which is designed by the Huizengas, handmade in Europe, and only available in the United States at Cebolla in Dallas. "We're passionate about customer service and exquisite floral design," Jamie says. "We think these things have been missing in Dallas, which is why we returned and why we say to our customers, 'Dare to demand excellence. We do.'"
