All abuzz for the holidays
By Mariana Greene

If your holiday decorations tend toward the ephemeral, the handmade dragonflies, bumblebees and butterflies from California artisan Laura Alders need to be on your tree in December.

The winged creatures, a Texas exclusive to Cebolla Fine Flowers, are lifelike replications of nature, but their wings are dusted with sparklies in the spirit of the season. Intended as ornamentation for gift-wrapped packages, the insects would look smashing perched on the tips of Christmas tree branches, looped around napkins at place settings, spiked at the base of a potted orchid and wrapped around a ponytail.

$10-$15 at Cebolla Fine Flowers, 4320 Lovers Lane.
